Massimo Moratti has denied the news will soon go back to being president of Inter Milan
Massimo Moratti has denied the news will soon go back to being president of Inter Milan. He said it was not in his plans.
In the past few days Italian media widely reported that Suning Group has asked Moratti to back to being president of the Nerazzurri to replace Erick Thohir.
"I've read the news, but I do not understand why this is discussed in the context of possible scenarios," Moratti told Tuttomercatoweb reported by Football Italia.
"I could argue I'll be right back? Yes, for sure. In the future? We'll see, you never know what will happen.
"I'm sorry if this is disappointing, but I want to refute what has been widely rumored. Coming back to the club is not in my plans," he said.
Moratti never became president in two periods. The first was in 1995-2004 to be replaced Giacinto Facchetti, who also played the legendary La Beneamata. After Facchetti died in 2006, Moratti returned to be president until 2013 then.
