Koscielny sympathy for Giroud

Olivier Giroud knocked out of the Arsenal starting line-up at the start of this season. The difficult situation through which this Giroud bring sympathy from compatriot, Laurent Koscielny.

Giroud new grazing for 51 minutes in the Premier League and 27 minutes in the Champions League this season. The striker, who is now aged 30 years it has not even become a starter and only four times so substitute.

Giroud very limited playing time for the Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, shifting Alexis Sanchez to the position of center forward. Because Sanchez appeared very impressive in that position, Wenger also had no reason to tinker with the lineup on the front lines.

Koscielny, who became co-Giroud at Arsenal and the French national team, is confident that his colleagues will get the chance of Wenger in the upcoming matches.

"It was a difficult situation for him. We went back to the team later after playing in the European Cup. We joined the squad at different times. We need more time to fit," said Koscielny in Soccerway.

"Olivier took a little more time than other players. Then there are the tight competition in the Arsenal front line," he added.

"Alexis Sanchez is currently playing very well, so it's hard to get him out of the starting XI," said Koscielny.

"I know Olivier and he has experienced the situation is much worse. We know his mental strength. The season is very long, so he will get a chance in the coming weeks. He had to prove himself when he gets a chance," he said.
